The Paseo Arts District was developed in 1929 and was the first shopping district north of downtown Oklahoma City. The buildings are painted pastel hues that remind you of a small scale South Beach. The Spanish, stucco buildings with colorful tile roofs house 17 art galleries, 60 artists, restaurants, a yoga studio, The Ghostlight Theatre, and boutiques. A very small, inviting church sits just off the two-block Paseo Arts District. Events are held on a regular basis. The biggest is the three-day Paseo Arts Festival that is held during Memorial Day weekend.
